Basketball Game Preview: Kewanee Boilermakers vs. Erie-Prophetstown Panthers

Kewanee is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They are taking a road trip to challenge the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Kewanee hadn't beaten Dixon on the road since November 25, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Boilermakers secured a 66-62 W over the Dukes & Duchesses.

Meanwhile, Erie-Prophetstown hadn't done well against Rock Falls recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Panthers snuck past the Rockets with a 57-53 win.

Kewanee now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Erie-Prophetstown, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Kewanee didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Erie-Prophetstown in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 53-48 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Boilermakers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
