While Valley Falls's victory against Horton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Dragons had just enough and edged out the Chargers 8-6. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Abby Wilson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). Wilson was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Valley Falls let Brooklynn Schmelzle and Skylar Neiberger run wild. Schmelzle got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, while Neiberger went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI Neiberger has posted over her last ten matchups. Another player making a difference was Chloe Cox, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.

Valley Falls' victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Horton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Chargers beat Valley Falls by a score of 6-4 later that day.
