Basketball Recap: Potts Camp's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Potts Camp needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Mariah Jeffries. The Cardinals managed a 54-48 victory over the Mantachie Mustangs on Thursday thanks in part to Jeffries, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Potts Camp's points.

Akira Woods was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 14 boards. She is becoming a predictor of Potts Camp's success: when she posts at least ten rebounds the team is 2-1 (and 0-6 when she doesn't).

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Mantachie, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
