Softball Recap: Pembroke Takes a Loss

Pembroke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 15-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Souhegan Sabers. On the bright side, the 14- run effort marked the Spartans' highest-scoring contest to date.

Pembroke's loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1. As for Souhegan, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pembroke will take on Bow at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Souhegan, they will challenge Kingswood at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Sabers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
