Volleyball Recap: Winnebago's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for Winnebago, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Indians as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

Winnebago didn't let Tri County Northeast take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23.

Breezie Treglia was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted over her last eight matchups.

Despite the loss, Tri County Northeast saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ally Belt had 17 assists and nine digs. Belt has been hot, having posted 14 or more assists the last seven times she's played. Jayda Stallbaum also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Winnebago's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Tri County Northeast, their defeat ended a seven-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2.
