If Clarendon was feeling good fresh off their 14-1 takedown of Memphis last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Clarendon fell just short of the Floydada Whirlwinds by a score of 8-6 on Friday. The Broncos' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Clarendon's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-5. As for Floydada, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarendon will welcome Highland Park at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Floydada, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Quanah at 4:30 p.m.
