The Redmond Mustangs will challenge the Bellevue Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Tuesday, Redmond got the win against Lynnwood by a conclusive 12-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.
Jay Heath was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Heath was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Bellevue and Hazen meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Wolverines came out on top in a nail-biter against the Highlanders, sneaking past 12-10. Considering the Wolverines' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Redmond's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Bellevue, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
Redmond was able to grind out a solid win over Bellevue in their previous meeting on April 2nd, winning 7-2. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
