Football Preview: Citrus Hurricanes vs. Lecanto Panthers
Citrus and Lecanto are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. After each having a week off, the two teams will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Citrus will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Friday, Citrus was beaten by West Port 45-6. The Hurricanes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-0.
Meanwhile, Lecanto's offense rose to the challenge against a Pirates defense that boasted an average of only 17.4 points allowed last Friday. Lecanto took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 35-7 win over Crystal River. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three games by 28 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Jt Tipton, who threw for 259 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Braylen Moore was Tipton's top target, picking up 58 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
