Basketball Recap: STEM School Highlands Ranch Comes Up Short

STEM School Highlands Ranch lost against Alameda back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The STEM School Highlands Ranch Spartans received a blow as they fell 61-45 to the Alameda Pirates. The Spartans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why STEM School Highlands Ranch lost, don't look at Avi Thakkar. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 18 en route to 22 points and three steals. What's more, Thakkar also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Braden Calme was another key player, putting up seven points and six boards.

STEM School Highlands Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Alameda, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12.
