Desert Hills entered their tilt with Hurricane on Tuesday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Tigers. Considering the Thunder have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lulu West was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. West was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Riley Greene, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and one stolen base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Sierra Dennison was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Desert Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hurricane only posted an OBP of .409.

Desert Hills pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Hurricane, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-12.

Desert Hills will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
