Softball Recap: Richland Gets the Win

Richland's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders by a score of 5-2. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Marauders: they've now won nine in a row.

Alea Ladika was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Bella Marguccio was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Richland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The victory got Richland back to even at 5-5. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Richland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-3 win against Bishop McCort on the 25th. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they will venture away from home to challenge Huntingdon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
