Cambria Hathaway and Cayden Marshall did some serious damage despite the final result: Hathaway went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run, while Marshall went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Another player making a difference was Victoria Kiger, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Mooresville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 20-4 to Greenwood Christian Academy.

Emery Goodman was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Those doubles were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Iris Hill, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Horizon Christian and nudges their season record down to 9-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Mooresville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Mooresville Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Horizon Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Mooresville Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 strikeouts.
