Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Pac-Five

Pac-Five won the last time they faced Sacred Hearts Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wolfpack blew past the Lancers 14-4. Fans of the Wolfpack have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Kylie Oshita made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Oshita was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

In other batting news, Mauiola Zuttermeister was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Dahlia Gangano, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Pac-Five always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sacred Hearts Academy only posted an OBP of .214.

The victory keeps Pac-Five at an undefeated 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average this season. As for Sacred Hearts Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Pac-Five nor the Lancers have any future games scheduled.
