Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vero Beach). They claimed a resounding 49-0 win over the Palm Bay Pirates. Considering the Indians have won four contests by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Vero Beach found their leader in freshman Champ Monds, who threw for 261 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt. Those five passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Monds. Efrem White was another key player, picking up 96 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Vero Beach didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Latravious Woods and Trevin Phinizee.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Vero Beach, bringing their record for this year to 6-3. Those good results were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.8 points per game. As for Palm Bay, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
