Volleyball Recap: Warrensburg Takes a Loss

Warrensburg was the 3-0 winner over Hadley Luzerne when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Burgers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Warrensburg sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 25-21, 22-25, 15-6.

When it comes to explaining why Warrensburg lost, don't look at Riley Huck. Despite the final result, she had 28 digs and two aces. Huck has been hot, having posted 16 or more digs the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahni Nix, who had 18 assists and two aces.

Ava Hanlon was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had six digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Warrensburg has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Hadley Luzerne, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.
