Basketball Preview: Lodi Flames vs. St. Mary's Rams
Lodi is 2-8 against the Rams since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Lodi Flames will head out on the road to take on the St. Mary's Rams at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Lodi pushed their score all the way to 59 last Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln. While losing is never fun, Lodi can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Trojans are ranked 46th).
Meanwhile, St. Mary's pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 80-57 walloping at the hands of Inderkum. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

This is the second loss in a row for Lodi and nudges their season record down to 15-10. As for St. Mary's, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7.
Lodi couldn't quite finish off the Rams when the teams last played back in January and fell 59-57. Can Lodi avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
