Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears vs. Eagle Grove Eagles

Bishop Garrigan is 8-2 against Eagle Grove since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Golden Bears will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Bishop Garrigan's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Eagle Grove's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Bishop Garrigan took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They skirted past Lake Mills 3-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eagle Grove). They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over Belmond-Klemme on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Bishop Garrigan is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Eagle Grove, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.

Everything went Bishop Garrigan's way against Eagle Grove when the teams last played on June 2nd, as Bishop Garrigan made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
