Contra Costa Christian waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Cornerstone Christian. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Contra Costa Christian took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-14, 25-12.

Contra Costa Christian was led to victory by Sean Cheung and GERRIT JOHNSTON. Cheung had 11 digs, while JOHNSTON hit 66.7% for 12 kills and four digs and two aces. The last time JOHNSTON's hitting percentage was this high was back in April of 2024.

Contra Costa Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. As for Cornerstone Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Contra Costa Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Berean Christian on the 14th. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will take on Fremont Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
