Soccer Game Preview: Somerset College Prep Academy vs. South Fork

The Somerset College Prep Academy Spartans are taking a road trip to challenge the South Fork Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Somerset College Prep Academy's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Wednesday, Somerset College Prep Academy didn't have quite enough to beat St. Edward's and fell 4-3. The Spartans have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, South Fork made sure to put some goals up on the board against Tradition Prep on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Pirates as they made off with a 4-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine games by three goals or more so far this season.

German Perez and Nicholas Kovach scored all four of South Fork's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

South Fork is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5-1 record this season. As for Somerset College Prep Academy, they now have a losing record at 6-7-1.
