Plainfield North is 9-1 against Plainfield South since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will look to defend their home court against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. The last three games Plainfield North has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Plainfield North didn't have quite enough to beat Bolingbrook and fell 2-1.

Plainfield North started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Plainfield South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Morris.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Plainfield South sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-22, 22-25, 25-10.

Plainfield North's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Plainfield South, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Plainfield North skirted past Plainfield South 2-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
