Basketball Recap: Evan Otto Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Harding University

Hough won the last time they faced Harding University and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hough Huskies narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Harding University Rams 58-56.

Hough's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Otto, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 boards. The dominant performance gave Otto a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Judah Freeman, who posted 16 points.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nate Decker, who scored 15 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Lonnie Walker, who went 5 for 7 en route to 14 points and six rebounds.

Hough's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7. As for Harding University, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Hough wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-40 loss against Hopewell on the 17th. As for Harding University, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-49 win against West Mecklenburg on the 17th.
