That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 43-40 win last Monday.

Despite the defeat, Jefferson Independent Day saw an underclassman step up: freshman Anna Hiebert dropped a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Hiebert also set a new season-high mark in steals with six. Another player making a difference was Kiera Onyango, who posted eight points.

Exeter's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Jefferson Independent Day, they dropped their record down to 4-18 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.
