Central took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Aliceville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Yellowjackets on Monday, sneaking past 5-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Aziyah Crooks was a standout: she earned one run and three stolen bases. Parker Binion was another key player, earning one run and three stolen bases.

Central's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Aliceville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Central will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pickens County at 5:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Aliceville, they will head out on the road to square off against Holt at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
