 The East Lyme Vikings will head out to  face off against the Ledyard Colonels  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
East Lyme's offense might be in the hot seat  on Thursday considering what happened against Norwich Free Academy  on Friday. They lost  21-0 to the Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 45  points in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Ledyard). They blew past Windham, posting  a  53-13 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  win of the  season.
East Lyme better keep an eye on  Jackson Favry. He was instrumental in Ledyard's win, rushing for 49 yards and one  TD.
 Ledyard was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 268  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 155  rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
 Ledyard's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB  three times.  Dorian Greene was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. Ledyard received some extra help from  Christopher Robertson, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
 East Lyme's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Ledyard, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
 Everything came up roses for East Lyme against Ledyard in their previous meeting  back in October of 2018, as the  squad secured  a  42-12 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
