Volleyball Recap: South San Antonio Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Alyssa Ramirez and Isabela Sanford

South San Antonio was the 2-1 winner over Stevens when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats fell 2-0 to the Falcons on Friday. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South San Antonio's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Isabela Sanford, who had 25 assists and four digs, and Alyssa Ramirez, who had 15 digs and two assists. Sanford is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

South San Antonio's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Stevens, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

South San Antonio has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial on the 23rd. As for Stevens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Stockdale on the 23rd.
