Recap: Southeast Spartans vs. Will Rogers College Ropers

On Friday, Southeast suffered a tough 57-36 defeat at the hands of Will Rogers College. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southeast has scored all season.

Will Rogers College found their leader in underclassman Jay Oates iii, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Oates iii continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cyrus Pete, who scored ten points.

Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Will Rogers College, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.

Southeast and Marshall will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Will Rogers College won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Shawnee on January 6th.
