Volleyball Recap: Mapleton's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

Mapleton won the last time they faced St. Mary Central Catholic, and Paige Beattie did her part to make sure it happened again. The Mounties were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers on Tuesday thanks in part to Beattie, who had 16 digs and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 25-17.

Mapleton's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5. As for St. Mary Central Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Mapleton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Crestview on the 4th. As for St. Mary Central Catholic, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Northwood on the 4th.
