            Basketball Recap: Genesee Wolves vs. Caro Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Genesee has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They had to suffer through  a    71-30 loss at the hands of the Caro Tigers. The Wolves were down  56-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Genesee still got an impressive performance from   Averie Zinn, who  dropped  a double-double with 21  points and 14  rebounds. Zinn is  on a roll when it comes to points, as she's  now  scored 15 or more in each of the last 38 games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Even though they lost, Genesee  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive rebounds in 43 consecutive  matchups  dating back to last season.
 Caro found their leader in sophomore  Shayler McIntyre, who  dropped  a double-double with 30  points and ten  boards. With that strong performance,  McIntyre is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game.  Brooklyn Osborn was another key player,  going 6-for-15  en route to 17  points and eight  rebounds.
Genesee's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Caro, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6.
 Genesee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Caro, they have already played their next contest,  a  49-42  defeat against Michigan Lutheran Seminary on the 27th.
