Volleyball Recap: Medina Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Medina suffered their biggest loss since September 4th on Wednesday. They came up short against the Mentor Cardinals, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Battling Bees couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-20.

Elaina Sabol paced Medina's offense, picking up eight kills. Sabol got some help from Lauren Sherman and her 16 assists. Grace Tabaka controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Medina's defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Mentor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Medina is set to take on their familiar foe Brunswick at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mentor will square off against rival Strongsville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
