The matchup between West Craven and Havelock on Friday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The West Craven Eagles fell 13-8 to the Havelock Rams. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

West Craven saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Webber, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Another was Parker Twichell, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances.

West Craven is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Havelock, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

West Craven has already played their next game, a 12-0 loss against Ayden - Grifton on the 11th. As for Havelock, they will challenge D.H. Conley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. D.H. Conley's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Havelock's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
