Softball Recap: Triad Takes a Loss

Triad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Northeastern Jets, falling 15-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 6-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Madi Bruce was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.

Triad's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Northeastern, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triad will head out to square off against Greeneview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northeastern, they will venture away from home to take on West Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
