Basketball Recap: Myra Lentz Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Great Plains Lutheran ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They managed a 48-43 win over the Northwestern Area Wildcats. The score was all tied up 16-16 at the break, but the Panthers were the better team in the second half.

Great Plains Lutheran's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myra Lentz, who went 5-for-12 en route to 16 points and four steals. Lentz is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jolie Lien, who posted eight points and three steals.

Great Plains Lutheran's record is now 13-4. As for Northwestern Area, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 13-4.
