Recap: Booker Tornadoes vs. Lemon Bay Manta Rays
The Booker Tornadoes were the 33-22 winner over the Lemon Bay Manta Rays when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Booker took a 26-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lemon Bay on Friday. Booker has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Although Booker took the loss, they still got scores from Takurian Smith, Ahmad ?tooda? hunter, and Joshua Burrows.
Joseph Scott had an outrageously good game for Lemon Bay as he rushed for 249 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 65 receiving yards. Scott really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
Booker's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lemon Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Booker will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakewood Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lemon Bay, they will head out on the road to face off against North Port at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Port will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
