Basketball Recap: Philadelphia Electric Charter Takes a Loss

Philadelphia Electric Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt a 66-24 loss at the hands of the Overbrook Panthers. Philadelphia Electric Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-10.

Jalen Holmes was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 boards for Overbrook. Holmes is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games he's played. Jasir Holmes was another key player, going 6 of 8 on his way to 12 points.

Philadelphia Electric Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Overbrook, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

Philadelphia Electric Charter will take on High School of the Future in a tournament on Friday. High School of the Future will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Philadelphia Electric Charter surely won't give up without a fight. As for Overbrook, they will be taking part in a tournament against Bartram Communications at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th. Overbrook is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season.
