Softball Recap: South Fork Find Success

After losing to Hoopa Valley the last time they met, South Fork decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cubs walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Warriors on Thursday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last three times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

The team relied heavily on Hailey Shepherd, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Anora Blackwell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

South Fork's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Hoopa Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.
