Roncalli had won 17 straight games and Matthew Dial did his part to make it 18 on Saturday. The Royals walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lincoln-Way East Griffins for which the team can thank Dial, who had 22 assists and seven digs. He has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 62 times he's played.

Roncalli's victory bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Lincoln-Way East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-5.

Roncalli has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Marist on the 10th. As for Lincoln-Way East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Franklin Community on the 10th.
