Baseball Recap: Odyssey Institute Takes a Loss

Odyssey Institute lost against River Valley back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Minotaur fell 13-8 to the Dust Devils.

Justin Bennett made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Jay Daughtery was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Odyssey Institute now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for River Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season.

River Valley will be playing at home against Parker at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dust Devils are facing the Broncs at the right time seeing as the Broncs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Odyssey Institute will be paying especially close attention to River Valley's matchup: after River Valley faces off against Parker, they'll take on Odyssey Institute again at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
