Basketball Recap: Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hozho Academy Wolves.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hozho Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hayden Daniels, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Toledo, who scored 11 points.

Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hozho Academy, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-36 win against Bosque on the 14th. As for Hozho Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 32-29 victory against St. Michael on the 16th.
