Softball Game Preview: Hialeah Gardens Gladiators vs. Cypress Bay Lightning

Hialeah Gardens is 0-3 against Cypress Bay since April of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Gladiators will host the Lightning at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hialeah Gardens has four straight victories, Cypress Bay has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Wednesday, Hialeah Gardens got the win against Mater Lakes Academy by a conclusive 17-4. The result was nothing new for the Gladiators, who have now won nine games by nine runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Krystal Martinez, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and two stolen bases while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Krystina Martinez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
