Baseball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kane Dugat and Nathan Smith Lead Apple Springs to Victory

Apple Springs had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the Slocum Mustangs get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 16-11 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Nathan Smith and Kane Dugat did most of the damage at the plate: Smith got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI, while Dugat scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Peyton Williams was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
