Tuscarawas Valley is 8-2 against Strasburg-Franklin since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Wednesday, Tuscarawas Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Dover and fell 3-2. The Trojans have struggled against the Crimson Tornadoes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Strasburg-Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fairless. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Strasburg-Franklin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Dugan, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Drew Lancaster was another, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Tuscarawas Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Strasburg-Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.

Tuscarawas Valley skirted past Strasburg-Franklin 4-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
