Baseball Recap: Poly Gets the Win

Poly's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They never let the Shadow Hills Knights get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Danny Bedford tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Keaton Pilliter was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Malmberg, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Poly's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Shadow Hills, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poly will welcome Upland at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shadow Hills, they will face off against Valley View at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
