Volleyball Recap: Rosholt Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Hornets on Saturday. Rosholt fell just short of Wautoma by a score of 2-1. Rosholt has struggled against Wautoma recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Rosholt actually scored more points across those three sets (61-57), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 17-25, 15-13.

Marlee Krekling paced Rosholt's offense, picking up ten kills. Krekling got some help from Elizabeth Trzinski and her 24 assists. Trzinski was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Rosholt's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Wautoma, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Rosholt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lomira on the 13th. As for Wautoma, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Three Lakes on the 13th.
