Israel Saunders Game Report: vs New Hanover

For the first time in his career, Israel Saunders scored a rushing touchdown on Friday. He rushed for 35 yards and one score as West Brunswick fell to New Hanover 28-14. We think that's the best game he's posted since September 19th, when he made eight total tackles (1.0 for loss) and snagged an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Coming up, Saunders and West Brunswick will challenge Topsail at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Saunders' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Trojans' five-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Saunders and the Trojans surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Friday's match.
