The home team had won the previous three meetings between Ledford and Asheboro, and Ledford kept the tradition alive. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Blue Comets on Monday. Considering the Panthers have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Alana Herrera, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Hoots, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Ledford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .680. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Ledford's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Asheboro, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Ledford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-4 defeat against North Davidson on the 29th. Asheboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
