Desert Hills is a perfect 10-0 against Pine View since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Thunder are taking a road trip to face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m.

Desert Hills is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Sacred Heart, who was ranked 20th in their home state at the time (Desert Hills was ranked seventh). The Thunder fell just short of the Valkyries by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Panguitch typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Pine View proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bobcats, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since October 12, 2024.

Pine View wouldn't go down easily and took Panguitch into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-12, 15-7.

Pine View's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Desert Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

Everything went Desert Hills' way against Pine View when the teams last played back in August, as Desert Hills made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
