Soccer Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

Woodland lost against Gray Collegiate Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolverines came up short against the War Eagles, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, Woodland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Gray Collegiate Academy are ranked tenth).

Woodland has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, the win keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Looking ahead, Woodland will take on Barnwell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Fort Dorchester on the 5th.
