Soccer Game Preview: Littlerock vs. Eastside

The Littlerock Lobos will head out on the road to challenge the Eastside Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Littlerock is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

Eastside better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Littlerock really get things going. Littlerock put the hurt on Quartz Hill with a sharp 4-1 victory on Wednesday. Given the Lobos' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Royals are ranked 682nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Littlerock hit Quartz Hill with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Adrian Villafranco (2), Adrian Alvarez, and Jose Castro.

Meanwhile, Eastside hasn't lost a match since December 27, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They and Knight finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw.

Littlerock's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five games. Eastside's draw gives them a new season record of 11-3-2.

Littlerock beat Eastside 3-1 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Littlerock since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
