Soccer Game Preview: Knightdale vs. Wake Forest

Knightdale is 0-10 against Wake Forest since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Knightdale Knights will be playing at home against the Wake Forest Cougars at 5:00 p.m. This will be Knightdale's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

If Wake Forest heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Knightdale took over last week. Knightdale won by a goal and slipped past Southeast Raleigh 2-1. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by just one goal.

Manuela Cardenas and Alondra Garcia-Gallegos scored both of Knightdale's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Wake Forest entered their tilt with North Raleigh Christian Academy on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Knights get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

Wake Forest's victory bumped their record up to 8-1-1. As for Knightdale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
