Softball Recap: Mt. Ararat Comes Up Short

Mt. Ararat extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-11 in the process. They lost 11-0 to the Brewer Witches. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Witches from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Brewer, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4. The game marked their most dominant victory of the season.

For Brewer's part, the team relied heavily on Jordin Williams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Williams a new career-high. Olivia Bragdon was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mt. Ararat will face off against rival Edward Little at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Brewer is set to take on their familiar foe Hampden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
